Preservation
The city of Dana Point was incorporated in 1989. It is named after Richard Henry Dana Jr. (1815-1882), a Harvard-trained lawyer, seaman, and author of the classic sea journal, Two Years Before the Mast (1840). Help us preserve the distinct sense of place.
Our harbor is county-owned and is being transformed by the Dana Point Partners. Join us on our mission to preserve the past as we chart the future together in Dana Point!
