1928, Woodruff

The owners were awarded their Woodruff 1928 Historic Home bronze plaque at the February 1, 2006 City of Dana Point Planning Commission meeting. The home is one of the earliest Woodruff houses and is next door to the home occupied by developer Sidney H. Woodruff. This charming, one-story Spanish Colonial Revival house is built in a rectangular plan. The low pitched intersecting gable roofs of red clay barrel tile are in a double skewed pattern. The hand trowelled, stucco walls accentuate a large, wood casement front window covered with grille work. The front gable extends to the right to form an archway leading to the garden, screened by established plants. On the left end is an attached garage.
