2011 Dana Point Historical Society Annual Scholarship BBQ Please join us for the Dana Point Historical Society annual barbecue in our beautiful Doheny State Beach. The Historical Society has awarded its 2011 scholarships of $1,000 each to Alexandria Anderson and Ellen Lomonico of Dana Point, both of whom will be our guests at the barbecue. Dana Point High School Scholarships Awarded 2011

The Dana Point Historical Society awarded two $1,000 scholarships to two students at Dana Hills High School. Alexandria Anderson, with plans to study electrical engineering at Columbia University, has been active in community service. She spends most of her time in tutoring students with academic needs. She has spent her summers at Columbia and Harvard Universities in engineering and math classes. She scored 790, out of 800, on her SAT history test. The second award went to Ellen Lomonico.
